My name's Barbara, I'm 27 and very close to turning 28. I'm from England but am a mature undergrad in Wales. I currently live in Hamburg for the summer and for the next year I will be in Bavaria on my year abroad. Life's pretty hectic at the moment and I don't always update much but I love to check my flist. I study American Studies and German and I'm a bit of a history geek, particularly the age of sail, exploration and the American Revolution period. I'm also a book nerd, I spend my commuter time with my head stuck in a book.

TV shows I enjoy include Doctor Who (though I'm dubious about the 12 revelation), The Vampire Diaries, Fresh Meat, Awkward, Borgen and Game of Thrones. Musically I listen to most genres but alternative is my favourite. I am a bit of a concert junkie.

My journal is 90% FO however I'm pretty open minded and would really like some new friends to get to know :-)

Hi there:) I'm a bit late coming to this thread but, in case you're still looking to meet some new folks and all, I'd be interested to hook up? :) I don't have a post in this thread but there's some (slightly outdated.. oops) info on my userinfo page if you like. I'm from The Netherlands (so we're sorta neighbors both when you're home as where you're at now hehe). Having spent a fair amount of time in the USA as an expat (have been back home for some years now though, and settled nicely), I'm always interested reading how others experience their time away from home in a foreign country!
