Date: 2013-07-22 10:39 am (UTC)I moved back to North Dakota to finish up my degrees in computer programming and IT. I've lived in Ohio, Indiana, and Maryland.
My hobbies include knitting, crochet, crafts, netflix, and video games (anyone else on steam or origin). Torchlight 2 or Diablo 3 anyone??

Date: 2013-07-22 12:40 pm (UTC)The basics: I'm a 37-year-old guy living in Orlando, FL. Married for almost 11 years now, with 3 adorable daughters (8, almost-6 and 2.5). Day-job is middle management office slave, but I don't write too much about that because it is what it is, a way to pay the bills. I've been on LJ since 1999, which is a bit amazing to me!
I actually did a bit of an introductory post (with photos!) a while back--feel free to take a look here (http://cp.livejournal.com/464140.html) for some more info. :)
I must admit that my life--and therefore my journal--is pretty boring and largely drama-free. But at least I won't spam you with nonsense! I try to post once a week or so (more if I have time), but I check my flist often and do try to comment when I feel I have something to contribute. I also don't lock much that I post, so feel free to pop over and take a look--what you see is what you get. :)

My posts deal with what I am thinking and feeling at the moment. I talk a lot about my depression and meds but it is not limited to that.

Date: 2013-07-22 07:21 pm (UTC)I write about my daily life along with some art and comics. I often post lyrics of favorite songs and randomness on entry titles. I sometimes post about concerts, food, the weather, and TV/movies.
My hobbies include comics, music (mostly in the alternative/classic rock vein along with some metal), sports, and keeping track of things.
My journal is friends only with posts coming in once or twice a day. I don't do friends cuts and I'm perfectly harmless for a ninja.

I am always reading and commenting when I can. I am still looking for that one person that I can become really close with and develop a great friendship (crosses fingers). I am the resident stage manager and talking woman for a local burlesque troupe in addition to stage managing and house managing for the Performing Arts Center.My current passion, though, is roller derby! I am a Skating Official (referee) known in our league as DICS (Derby Intelligence Compliance Squad). I also help coach and ref for the Jr. Derby.
I try to post at least a little something everyday and I have a few "regular features" in my 'journal like Muppet Monday and asking three questions (almost) every weekday.I look forward to meeting all of you!

But my life is centered in Nashville where I go to school full-time, work two jobs, serve as a peer mentor, blunder friendships and love-interests, etc. I'm very much relationship oriented, so I update about 1x/day with stories/rants/gushing about my life and the people in it. Entries can go from long-winded and personal to short and random. Entries may include sexual content and swearing if you haven't guessed that yet. :P I comment pretty often.
I want friends that are active or at least honest in their expectations of activity. I recently did a friend's cut for the first time in ages because so many people added me claiming to be active and then disappeared. =/ If you have a journal and plan on keeping it, feel free to add me.

A short summary of my recent life can be as follows: frustrated with too many things to be listed, I used a degree as an excuse to leave my fair country, and land to a place I've loved with a passion since I was 15. I somehow ended up working in marketing and fundraising, in various arts organisations first and then charities. I currently work in an autism-related charity and, even though I'm loving it, my long-term dream is to go back working in the arts sector, possibly working for a theatre. Taken by academia nostalgia, I've also started a psychology course, but increasing fees might prevent me from completing the feat. Things I like include: theatre, literature, books, costume drama, British culture, yoga, rock music, eating out, tea.
In my LJ you may find all of the above, mainly diluted in everyday ramblings on everything that crosses my life and my mind. I lead no glamorous life, but I've meticulously recorded the past 8 years of my life on here, so I believe it really is a faithful representation of who I am. We may or may not click - and no hard feelings if we don't!
I like reading about people's lives, their interests, and seeing things from different places and different perspectives. I'm not particularly into any fandom and I don't read fanfic, so if this is what your journal is exclusively about chances are we won't have much to say to each other. I try to read regularly and comment when I have something meaningful to say, and I would like someone who does the same - LJ should be about interaction after all!
