Hi! I am a huge fan of most of the shows you listed (I'm still a Dr. Who virgin and I haven't seen OITNB yet), and before I started stay-at-home-mom-ing I was a K-8 school librarian. I grew up in upstate NY (Lake George area). I don't post a ton but I do really value LJ and I try to keep up. I write a lot about my day to day life and my 4 year old daughter, and also about fannish things sometimes, and Things I Do With My CSA ;). It seems have some things in common, so, want to be LJ friends? :)

Added you :) Nice to meet you! Do you think you'll get back in the K-8 librarian game when your daughter is older? Based on the experiences of my friends, it doesn't seem like a great place to be (so many people being forced to run multiple schools, replacing MLS librarians with aides etc). I'm about an hour or so south of Lake George - but it's gorgeous up there :)
