I'm Merel, 36 years old folklorist, nature educator & crafts person from Finland. I'm a mystic, pagan, shaman student for life, greatly inspired by the beauty and nature and being part of the bigger picture in my small way. I want to live a magical, meaningful life, weaving connection between people & nature. That is my calling in life. I like kitchen witchery and eccentric fashion, bizarre and mystical and things that are not too dualistic.

I have lots of interests and passions from writing to fandoms. I want to become a Butoh-dancer as soon as I can get better in touch with my body & find courage to express me by it. I'm also interested in Clownery and fools. I am an introvert (INFJ), childfree and gender flexible, a real book lover. Music is important to me as well. I don't have TV and I read the news about twice a week but I am aiming to make this world a better place with everyday choices. I'm very much into nature friendly, green lifestyle, healthy food, vegetarianism, against anthropocentrism...

I like to watch good movies and Japanese & Korean dramas. I'm a bit addicted to pinterest (http://pinterest.com/kuunkorento/boards/) and I also have a creativity blog I update quite rarely (http://www.merelsmagic.blogspot.fi/).
LJ is my main internet blog & site and I write about daily musings as well as some spiritual posts.

I have experienced some great losses & grief during the past 3 years and I'm still in the process of sailing through the storm of fear about mortality and suffering and yet I do have the answers that solve the fears, it's just not an easy thing to find the courage. All in all I am a positive soul, always looking forward to new ways to develop myself to be a better person.

I am looking for friends who are soulful and interesting and with whom I can really connect. Small talk & quantity over quality aren't my kind of things. I am open minded so you don't have to be similar to me or have similar interests as long as there is something that resonates.
