I'm a disabled veteran. I have an MA in history, but don't use it for much of anything. I play in the SCA, both broadsword fighting and rapier fighting, as well as arts and such. I like sports, mostly hockey, also football. I love the olympic games. I'm bipolar, so things go up and down.
I post fairly frequently. I talk about real life, never fandom. I don't really watch TV at all, honestly.

My politics are dfeinitely left-of-center, I'm an old clubber and punk so I've heard and seen about 5 million bands in my life, (Of ALL kinds of music, not just th' usual punk/industrial/goth,) and I'm a professional computer nerd.

I've got two cats and live in the Berkeley hills where I also run into racoons, skunks, deer, and possums. (No Sasquatch yet.)
I'm also a physics geek as well as a follower of the Shakespeare authorship controversy (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsJTbWF1-lg)!

I have them all on my kindle for free but I own "Barefoot" and got the other ones from the library. I was in need of "real books" after I've been stuck on my Kindle for most of the summer.

Date: 2013-07-30 01:44 am (UTC)I have been on LJ since Jan 2004 and have pretty much stayed consistent with my posting. I've had lots of friends come and go, but definitely am always interested in adding new life into the mix. I like to get to know my LJ friends, so if I stare at your username after 6 months of being on my list and have no idea who you are, I probably will unfriend you just since we're not really connecting. Normally this occurs when I get a birthday reminder for someone I have no idea who they are, check their LJ and they haven't posted pretty much since I friended them.
Anyways, I'm Crystal, 31, living in PA, married for five years this past May, and WOHM. I have an 9 year old stepdaughter Emma, 3 year old little lady Alexandria, and the newest addition who's 9 months old is our peanut Brooke.
My life is primarily centered around my family. My girls have given my husband and I a run for our money this year with being sick pretty much non-stop, so it's been a bit of a struggle. When I'm not taking care of or playing with my girls, I'm a TV addict. I love to read, but haven't had much time for it. A LONG time LJ friends and I have vowed to read the Game of Thrones series together so I'm in the middle of the second monstrous book. I love to scrapbook, but don't put much of my free time into it. I also try to be crafty around the house.
I post definitely a few times a week pretty consistently (currently about to hit a post for a month straight milestone). Sometimes it's pictures from my phone, sometimes it's a daily breakdown, sometimes its completely useless :) I'm very open to people will different ideas, opinions, thoughts on pretty much everything. As long as you're open to accept my thoughts, then I'll be open to accept yours.
