Punky's FRIENDZY FRIENDING FRENZY!!!

Hello everyone. We all know how a friendzy works.

Reply with a comment telling us all about yourself and what you look for in LJ friends and post a link to this friendzy on your own journal. Spread the word!

I will leave this entry public until August 22, 2013.

I will comment with my own info!

I'm late to the party.. I hope people still check this!

25, female, Ohio.

I'm starting a masters/PhD (it's complicated) in Urban Design & Behavior (city planning) in the fall here at OSU. Just graduated in May with an undergrad in city planning as well. I'm a single mom of a 3.5 year old as well. I am a big nerd and a Whovian/Trekkie geek, and I love to travel (I'm a couchsurfer!)and volunteer (currently training to be a college bound mentor for a teenager in children's services protection, and I'm on the committee for the fancy Diabetes' arts fundraising gala in november) and go to civic and social events. I'm very much an extrovert but i am queen grump if i don't get my alone time to regroup as well.

I'm currently on a quest to become more traditionally elegant/feminine. Now i'm VERY MUCH a liberal feminist in every sense of the word, so It's an interesting journey to explore what can be seen as a traditional womanhood-- without any of the sexism or religiousity attached. Mostly I'm studying things about etiquette, posture, style, manners, art of conversation, accomplishments and otherwise being a well rounded, well educated, graceful and elegant chick. I have always been a big history nerd and I've always really admired the accomplished and elegant women I would read about. It's essentially the exact opposite of who i used to be (and still am in most respects), but I've always wanted to feel more "feminine" (my definition, as everyone has their own and that's ok!) but didn't know how, growing up with a very tomboy single mother. I'm starting a blog about the whole process too.

So, yeah. My LJ is day to day stuff mostly. My live-in but temporary "boyfriend" (though technically without a title), my son, my divorce-in-progress, my work as an RA, school, my "elegance studies" and whatever else is happening.

For LJ friends I'm looking for people who like to interact, and who have mostly positive blogs that talk about more than ailments and bad things that are going on in their lives. Everyone has that stuff sometimes, but I'm not looking to add any more blogs that are *only* where people only talk about their problems.

Hope you don't mind I've added you! I'm Sandy, 27, live in NJ with my long term boyfriend and cat. I work at a university. I mostly write about my day-to-day life (travel, friends, random musing, fun stuff) and post pictures. I usually write weekly, comment often, and also like friends who write less about ailments and more about positive things.
