Hi! My name is Jill and I was directed over here by silviarambles. I live in Montreal, Canada. I've been on LJ for almost 10 years and post once a week on average, sometimes more or less. I check it every day and comment fairly often though.

I'm a freelance translator and editor and make all my posts bilingually in French and English. I'm trying to improve my Spanish lately and post in Spanish as well. I mostly write about my everyday life, things I'm doing around the city, and trips I've taken. Sometimes I post pictures of trips I've taken or events I've been to. I knit a lot and write about that sometimes too.

I LOVE MONTREAL. I went to SUNY Plattsburgh in NY for college and took quite a few trips up there.

Added! Yay, Montreal is a great city! I'm back home in Ontario for the summer, but I'll be back to la belle province at the beginning of October. How long where you there for? What did you see?

I'm horrible - I only went for a weekend. I spent an afternoon at the botanical gardens (which were so beautiful!) and then the following day was so hot that I hung around the museum of fine arts for the air conditioning. I was a little intimidated by all of the French to venture too far from the tourist path, but at least I got my poutine :) It's a little over 4 hours from here and can't believe I've never gone before!

At least if you live close by, you can come again! And if you want to check out other parts of the city with a French-speaking guide, I'd be glad to show you around sometime! (I'm back home in Ontario for the summer, but I'll be back in the city at the beginning of October.)

Hope you don't mind my adding you. I'm Sandy, 27, living in NJ. Have had this LJ since... erm... 2002, posting with varying degrees of regularity.
